Will this fit my mug?
Each style is designed to fit specific mug sizes.
- Sip n Stitch Cardi: fits 30–40oz handled mugs or mugs measuring 10–12" around
- Toasty Top Pullover: fits coffee cups or tumblers measuring 8–10" around. It won't work if the mug has handles.
If you’re unsure, measuring your mug around the widest part is the best way to check fit.
Do the cardigans really have pockets?
Yes. Tiny pockets. Real pockets.
They’re small, but mighty.
Can I drink from my mug while it’s wearing Mugwear?
Absolutely. Main Character Mugwear is designed to be wornwhileyou drink.
Just keep knitwear away from open flames or stovetops.
How do I wash it?
Cold water, delicate cycle is totally fine! Just keep it out of the dryer. Lay it flat to dry.
If you prefer to hand wash, soak in cool water with your favorite wool wash, squeeze out excess moisture, and lay flat to dry.
Treat it like the tiny sweater it is.
Is each one really handmade?
We hand dye all the yarn we use to make our mugwear. Then we knit it on a 3-D knitting machine that is the leading edge of knitting technology.
Does it actually keep my drink warm?
It can help slow heat loss, but its main purpose is comfort, charm, and joy — not insulation. Think cozy, not thermos.
However, it will keep your hand cool when you've got hot coffee in a thin paper cup. It works even better than a cardboard sleeve!
Is this a giftable item?
Very much so.
